Use our checklist

Go through the checklist with your designated safeguarding lead (DSL) to satisfy yourself, and the governing board, that your school has appropriate safeguarding arrangements in place.

There's no specific frequency for this monitoring

The statutory safeguarding guidance, Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), from the Department for Education (DfE) doesn't specify how often you should monitor your school's safeguarding provision.

But do check with your DSL whether your local safeguarding partners set their own guidelines for this.
