Who does this apply to?

This article applies to all teachers employed under the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD). This includes:

  • All teachers at maintained schools, including:
    • Senior leaders, such as headteachers
    • Special educational needs co-ordinators (SENCOs)
    • Part-time teachers
    • Non-agency supply teachers
  • Teachers whose employment transferred from a maintained school to an academy at the point of conversion and whose contracts haven't been further negotiated

Pay ranges for 2024/25

There's a 5.5% increase across all pay ranges. This is fully funded by the government.

All pay rises will be back dated to 1 September 2024.

There are currently no statutory pay points within pay ranges, but you can use the advisory points for the main (MPR) and upper (UPR) pay ranges in Annex 3 (page 64) to help you review your pay policy.
