Schools use a variety of terms for whole-school plans, including ‘strategic plan' and 'school development plan'. In this article, we refer to it as a 'school improvement plan' (SIP).

Template from a local authority

East Sussex County Council has produced a proforma for a SIP for its schools to use for 2019/20. It includes spaces for the school's vision and context, and is laid out according to the main judgements in the new Ofsted framework.
