What is a digital strategy?

It’s a long-term plan for how your school will use digital technology to achieve its goals. This means it should be aligned with your school's wider strategic plans and school improvement plans.

For example, using AI tools to automate administrative tasks can reduce teachers' workloads. This will benefit pupils by freeing time for teachers to spend on lesson planning, and also improve staff wellbeing by reducing stress.

It's not just about your IT curriculum

Your senior leaders should consider how they can incorporate digital solutions into every part of the curriculum. It won't be possible or necessary for all subjects, but they shouldn't limit it to computing lessons.
