Scope and format
The governing board should determine the scope and format of the headteacher's report. It should be in a format that helps the board stay focused on its core strategic functions and be a starting point to stimulate discussion. It should mainly communicate information the headteacher feels is important.
The headteacher should provide any management information the board needs to be able to monitor school activity through the year, particularly any information relating to improvement priorities.
