Learn which categories of pupils are eligible for pupil premium funding, and find out more about each category. These include 'ever 6 FSM', 'looked after children' and 'service children'.

Eligible groups

5 categories of pupils are eligible for the extra pupil premium funding, at the following rates:

This is set out in the 2020-21 conditions of grant from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) - the 2021-22 version hasn't been published yet, but the DfE has confirmed that the per pupil funding rates will remain the same as for the previous year.
