Understand how the inspection framework applies to SEND provision

When inspectors ask you questions about special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), keep in mind:

  • Ofsted won’t judge your school's SEND provision separately. Instead, it will use evidence related to your SEND provision to inform other judgements
  • Inspectors will take into account specific factors regarding your school’s SEND provision, which we cover in this article on how Ofsted inspects SEND
