Use 1 of our statutory policy review schedules to keep on top of review periods at your school.

Maintained schools

Our schedule for maintained schools covers:

All local authority (LA)-maintained schools, including maintained special schools
Maintained and non-maintained nursery schools
Pupil referral units (PRUs)
Non-maintained special schools, because your requirements are more similar to maintained schools than to academies or independent schools

We made the following updates:

Equality information and objectives statement – removed maintained nursery schools
Careers programme – added that maintained secondary schools are required to publish this
Agendas of meetings of the board; and agendas, minutes and papers considered at meetings of the board's committees – added that maintained schools are expected to publish these, as set out in the ICO's 'Schools in England' document on its definition documents page
