Schools are facing cuts of 8% in per-pupil funding by 2019-20, the NAO says. While they will need to make savings of £3bn, it finds that the scale of savings needed has not been clearly communicated, and that the DfE’s approach to managing risks to schools' financial sustainability is not effective.
