News briefing: LAs to get extra funds to support pupils with SEN

The DfE is allocating £215 million to councils to help them improve provision for pupils with SEN. LAs can spend the cash in mainstream schools to increase school capacity and make it easier for pupils with EHC plans to access school places, for example by building specialised classrooms.
