If you're looking to refresh your safeguarding knowledge, this course will help you understand your role and the key tasks, and keep you up to date with the latest safeguarding requirements for you and your school/trust.
This course is for governors and trustees in all school types and is in line with the latest requirements as set out by the Department for Education and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025.
It should take around 50 to 60 minutes to complete.
This is our refresher safeguarding course
This course is for existing governors/trustees who have already completed in-depth safeguarding training.
If you're new to your role, or you don't feel confident in your knowledge of safeguarding, take our full safeguarding for governance course instead. It covers the same topics in more depth, and will take you around 3 to 3.5 hours to complete.
