Parent governors: eligibility (maintained schools)

Who is eligible to be a parent governor? The 2007 and 2012 constitution regulations say that parents and carers of registered pupils at the school are eligible to stand in parent governor elections. We look at guidance from the DfE and local authorities, which also define who is considered a parent.
